I have always loved the relationship between railroads and industries.  Whether it be logging, mining, agriculture, meatpacking, steelworks, or any one of a hundred different types of industries, railroads in the 19th and 20th Centuries were the main solution to the very old problem of moving bulk material efficiently.

This website is documents my efforts to capture industrial railroads in miniature.  As my skills improve, I also intend on bringing some of my designs into limited production for other modelers to purchase.  So, welcome to Homestake Models and thank you for your interest!
